About the Host Institution

Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) is the largest institution of higher education in the Pikes Peak region, serving more than 18,000 students each year across four campuses in Colorado Springs, Colorado, along with three military satellite locations and a robust distance education program. Founded in 1968, PPSC offers more than 150 associate degree, certificate, and bachelor's degree programs spanning liberal arts and sciences transfer and career technical education. We're excited to bring the ITC community to the foot of Pikes Peak for 2027.

Proposal Submissions

The Call for Proposals for the 2027 Annual eLearning Conference will open soon. As in past years, we'll be looking for bold, practical, and thought-provoking sessions from across the distance education community, including topics such as:

  • Pedagogy and Andragogy in Distance Education
  • Instructional Technology and Tools
  • Student Success and Engagement
  • Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
  • Assessment and Evaluation
  • Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Pedagogy
  • Leadership and Administration

Conference Tracks

The 2027 ITC Annual eLearning Conference will bring together educators, leaders, innovators, and partners to Learn, Connect, and Explore as we celebrate 50 years of advancing eLearning and look toward what comes next.

While the Call for Proposals is still being developed, prospective presenters are encouraged to begin thinking about how their work, ideas, research, and experiences might align with one of our three conference tracks.

LEARN

Strengthening Teaching, Learning, and Student Success

Share practical strategies, programs, research, and effective practices that strengthen online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced education.

The Learn track will explore topics such as course design, accessibility, student engagement and belonging, assessment, academic integrity, faculty development, instructional support, quality standards, learning technologies, and approaches that help all learners succeed.

CONNECT

Building Communities, Partnerships, and Leadership

Explore the relationships, partnerships, and leadership practices that make innovation and student success possible.

The Connect track will highlight collaboration across institutions and communities, including faculty support, professional development, leadership, change management, student belonging, employer and workforce partnerships, communities of practice, strategic planning, and building sustainable digital learning teams.

EXPLORE

Discovering Innovation and Shaping What Comes Next

Look ahead to emerging technologies, innovative practices, experiments, and ideas that may shape the future of education.

The Explore track will include artificial intelligence, immersive and simulation-based learning, flexible learning models, digital credentials, learning analytics, emerging workforce technologies, innovation labs, technology pilots, and other forward-looking approaches. Early-stage projects, lessons learned, and ideas still being explored are welcome.
